“Kill Bill” Interview
Q How did the training transform your body?A I lost 25-30 pounds and I went from a size 8 or 10 to a 2 or 4. I got a little too thin. Now I’ve got a little bit more meat on me. I’m a woman–I like having curves.
Q Has any other role been as physically demanding?
A My TV show, Missing. They thought they were doing Kill Bill every week! On top of working 12 hours a day I was doing fight scenes, flipping guys. They had to pay to have chiropractors come all the time. I was like, ‘Look, I’m not 19–give me a break!’ This season they’re letting my partner do more of that.
Q Do you have a stunt double?
A Yeah, and I’ve learned to use her. On Kill Bill I did 95% of the fight scenes. The only thing I didn’t do was when she crashed into a table. It was too dangerous.
Q What kind of diet do you follow?
I do a low-carb, low-sugar diet with high protein and high vegetable intake. In the morning I have coffee and sometimes a Jamba Juice. If I do have break-fast, I’ll have egg whites and turkey with fresh-squeezed orange juice. Lunch is usually a salad with turkey or chicken. Dinner is meat and a vegetable.
Q What’s your favorite cheat food?
A My only indulgence is merlot. I gotta have my glass of wine. And I have my cheat days when I go to the movies and eat popcorn and junk food. I’m a hard worker, but I play hard, too.
Q Do you cook?A I make tacos. I’m more of a restaurant babe.
Q How do you keep said booty in shape?A Tae Bo. It’s cardio, stretching and crunches–an hour and 15 minutes of the most condensed ass-kicking. It’s insane. But if I’m in overdrive, I have a gym in my house and I’ll get on the treadmill and lift weights at night. When I’m in Toronto [Missing is filmed there], they send a treadmill to my room. I run for about half an hour. I lift weights and do sit-ups and push-ups. I try to keep things simple.
