Victoria Beckham’s Fitness Routine

Britney Spears has been working hard to get her life back together – that much has been obvious over the past months. The former pop princess, whose steep descent into substance abuse and mental illness was avidly monitored by the press both in the States and pretty much everywhere in the world, is getting her act together – with the help of her father and her renewed management team.
However, sources close to the singer report that despite the obvious progress in her professional and personal life, one thing is still keeping Britney awake at night: her ever-fluctuating weight. So desperate is the singer to get her weight under control, that she has reportedly taken up Victoria Beckham’s notorious “stay thin” eating regime.
‘She’s been eating steamed fish and edamame beans. She was told that’s how Victoria stays so slim”, an insider reports to the Daily Mail. “She is also drinking goji berry juice and seaweed shakes to stave off hunger and starts each day with a cup of hot water and lemon”. These rather extreme measures have apparently helped Britney go down from a UK size 14 (USA size 12) to a UK size 10 (USA size 8), much to her enthusiasm. As a result, like Katie Holmes before her, Britney is now said to have become a Victoria Beckham die-hard fan, planning to stick to the routine and lose even more weight in the months to come.
However, the world is definitely not ready for a rail-thin Britney Spears, particularly since the singer initially became famous for her toned abdomen and her grueling fitness routines, which are completely at odds with Victoria’s confessed “no exercise” schedule. The former Spice Girl publicly admitted that she doesn’t train much because fitness work-outs and high heels are incompatible, and she just can’t bring herself to exercise in flat shoes. So despite the fact that the edamame beans diet is obviously working for Britney, it remains to be seen how far the singer is willing to go in order to achieve a more slender physique. “I’m so content,” she tells Britain’s Sun, “I’ve even been smiling a bit these days.”
That’s not the only surprise to which she admits. Turns out, there is a shopaholic in her household – but not who you think.
“David definitely spends much more money than I do,” says Victoria, 34. “I don’t really go shopping any more.”
And that’s not her only lifestyle change since moving from London to L.A. last year. Long known to be exercise-averse, the former Posh Spice says she now regularly breaks a sweat.
“I run four miles, seven days a week,” she says. “I feel energized and healthy – there are really nice gyms here and I just enjoy it. … I do feel so much better.”
It’s a healthy new habit her sporty Spice-Boy-hubby heartily endorses.
“David puts music on my iPod, and Gordon Ramsay bought me [sneakers] where you have a little chip so you can clock how far you’re running,” Beckham tells the paper while promoting her new fragrance, Signature.
And she’s even taken to eating carb-laden toast for breakfast.
“Yes, I am eating more,” she says. “I think you do eat more when you’re working out. And you want to eat healthily, so it’s good all round.”
“I can genuinely say I’m content and happy at the moment,” adds Beckham.
