Like most celebrities who are also into the healthy weight loss program, Catherine is a long time follower of the well known Atkins Diet Plan. This diet plan involves leaving out carbs and going for meats and cheeses as well as portion-control, which Ms. Zeta Jones believes helped her lose weight which she gained when she was pregnant. After giving birth, she even employed a nutrition coach as her weight loss help, by teaching her the right foods to eat and basically to stay on top of her diet plan.
“I’m quite a broad girl not at all delicate. I watch what I eat to stay in shape but I’m against fast diets. I eat when I’m hungry, three meals a day.” The actress had told People magazine that she’s a huge fan of smoked salmon sandwiches with potato chips crunched inside. And fish and chips too. When asked by OK! Magazine if she had any weight loss tips for her fans out there, she had this to say “I love chocolate, ice cream and cakes. The only thing better than sex is sex with chocolate on top! I love pasta and get the occasional avocado with prawns. So if you want to know how to lose weight, all I can say is allow yourself a little of what you fancy. But don’t get carried away.” For Catherine, the best weight loss program is really all about not depriving yourself of anything. She’s recently been showing off her newly-toned calf muscles in a knee length black dress and women want to know how they can also achieve pins like those. The 40 year old actress, wife and mother said her fitness exercise program involves doing aerobic exercises. It’s also a result of her hectic dance rehearsals when she starred in a Broadway musical A Little Night Music.
According to a fitness training expert, calf tone can be improved by doing cardio exercises such as running, cycling, and any form of dance. She also recommends doing calf raise exercises as among the best fitness training ways to create calf definition. As for keeping the arms toned just like Ms. Zeta Jones, the fitness training expert recommends doing gentle kneeling push up exercises or using bottles of water as home made dumb bells, if you don’t already have these exercise equipment at home.
Catherine also takes part in Pilates exercise sessions and weight training exercises. Living in Bermuda also has its perks when it comes to staying in shape. The actress admits that she does cardio exercises by swimming both in the ocean and in the pool. And she also goes golfing with her husband, Michael Douglas. When she really has to tone up however, Ms. Zeta Jones says she drags herself to the gym to do her fitness training exercises.
