Whitney Port, the star who had her life chronicled on the MTV reality show The Hills, and now on City also does her fair share of weight loss diet plan and fitness exercise program. She does her fitness exercises with fitness trainer Danny Connolly and she recently wrote on her blog,
“He seriously does wonders!”
When she does her fitness training exercises with Danny, Whitney Port does the Step-By-Step fitness exercise program routine that involves traveling lunges to work the thighs and lower body. For the upper body she does butt and hips and bicep curls, tricep dips and the weighted ball toss. Below are a few fitness exercise tips given by trainer Danny on Whitney’s blog:
Fitness Exercise Tip #1:
Cross-cable push/pull exercises. It emphasizes the obliques and core, in addition to working the shoulders, arms and back muscles.
Fitness Exercise Tip #2:
The traveling lunge fitness exercise which is a standard fitness trainer favorite. I utilize them with all of my girls and Whit has benefited greatly from this fitness exercise move. It works thighs, butt and hips. We always concentrate on keeping her upper body tall and erect to emphasize the abs too. While they may not be one of her favorite exercises, Whitney does them perfectly! My form is very strict, or I should say that I am very meticulous about the manner in which I teach THIS fitness exercise move in particular.
Fitness Exercise Tip #3:
The weighted ball toss (is) for toning the waistline and shoulders — it’s Whit’s favorite fitness exercise move to do! We have her concentrate on controlling the momentum aspect. We keep her arms as straight as possible, too.
Fitness Exercise Tip #4:
This fitness exercise move is tough. It takes a fair amount of upper body strength to lift the lower torso ‘off’ the seat. This move indirectly targets the arms and shoulders, but is actually an abdominal movement. It works primarily the lower ab region.
Fitness Exercise Tip #5:
Alternating bicep curl. This one is another Whitney favorite fitness exercise move. It is called an alternating bicep curl with the tension bands. She curls the bands across her body and controls the speed on the way down.
Fitness Exercise Tip #6:
Lastly we have the tricep dips on a bench. She does these well every time! We try to keep her upper body close to the bench as she lifts and lowers her body up and down. This fitness exercise move works the shoulders and arms really well!
Whitney Port Spills Her Thoughts on Weight Loss Diets and Fitness Exercise Program
Although she’s an aspiring fashion designer, Whitney Port, star of MTV’s The City, could typically pass as one of the models. The tall blonde beauty says she works hard to keep her svelte figure, doing her fitness exercise program three times a week and eating the right kind of diet plan.
Whitney Port says it isn’t always easy to maintain her model-esque figure. The reality TV starlet and budding fashion designer works hard to stay thin, despite temptations all around her. “I don’t have the biggest sweet tooth, so it’s not that big of a problem,” Whitney Port says. “My junk food issue is savory stuff, like French fries and pizza. I love gummy bears, and I’m a sucker for frozen yogurt, so I’ll go for that, but that’s not that bad.”
The biggest temptation in terms of keeping the right diet plan for the reality TV star is bread. “Bread and butter are my favorite foods. I could eat those all day long, and if someone puts it in front of me, it’s always very hard to say no to it. That’s the biggest challenge in my diet plan,” she says. “Sometimes I’ll eat so fast, I won’t even realize how much I’m eating. The key is to eat slow, and make sure you’re not eating past your satisfaction limit.”
In addition to her food temptations, Whitney Port admits that doing her fitness exercise program regularly doesn’t always come easily for her. “I will get into phases where I’ll have to do my fitness exercise program every day or every other day, and then I’ll get out of the swing of it, and it’ll be hard to get into it again,” she tells OK! magazine. “Right now, I’m in a rut. It takes me going to the gym a couple times for me to get back into the fitness exercise routine.”
As for finding a fitness exercise program routine, Whitney Port suggests changing it up. “I tried Pilates exercise for the first time about two months ago,” she says. “I liked it. I used to dance in high school, so I felt like it felt very natural for my body. Other than that, my fitness exercise involves walking on the treadmill exercise equipment, walking outside, and doing weight fitness training. When I can’t make it to the gym, I’ll do push-up exercises and sit-up exercises in my apartment.”
