Sofia Vergara is a Colombian-born actress born on July 10, 1972. She is also a model and entrepreneur. She was first well known in North America from her modeling work, and her first notable acting job in English was back in the year 2003 in the movie Chasing Papi. She currently stars on the critically acclaimed ABC sitcom Modern Family as Gloria Delgado-Pritchett, for which she has been nominated for a Prime time Emmy Award as well as a Screen Actors Guild Award.
Modern Family star Sofia Vergara is fairly well known for her sexy Latina image, accent and curves included. However, just like the rest of us, this now A-list Hollywood star, must also do a fitness exercise program in order to stay fit and over the years she’s learned a few things about a healthy weight loss diet plan and fitness training exercise program.
Weight Loss Tips #1: Just Do It (Your Fitness Exercise Program that is!)
Sofia Vergara hates to do any kind of fitness exercise program and the thought of doing fitness training exercises puts her in a bad mood. However, she does enjoy dancing to Latin music as a form of cardio exercise and gets her fitness trainer to do dance fitness exercises with her for an hour three times a week.
“The truth is, you do fitness exercise program for health and you do look better. And I have a responsibility to the show. Nobody wants to see Gloria with a flat ass!”
Weight Loss Tips #2: Don’t Get Obsessed with Your Fitness Exercise Program or Weight Loss Plan
Sofia Vergara does her fitness exercise program because it is a necessity for health, especially as she ages, but she will not do fitness training exercise too much because she does not want to lose weight too much.
“You need a little fat in your face! So they fill their face with crap, and then they look like monsters. Who do you think you’re fooling? We know those aren’t your lips. I don’t want plastic surgery or fillers or Botox.”
Weight Loss Tips #3: Have a Sense of Humor
Doing fitness exercise program and keeping a healthy weight loss diet plan right isn’t just about looking good and keeping a sense of humor helps maintain a healthy body image by keeping everything in perspective.
“Seven years ago, I found out I had thyroid cancer. When they tell you that you have cancer, you panic. I had my thyroid gland removed, then radiation. It was hard, but now I’m in remission, and the scar doesn’t bother me. After the surgery in 2003, I had my son Photoshop a Frankenstein scar on my neck and sent it to my friends and said, ‘I’m fine, I look perfect!’ It was really funny.”
Weight Loss Tips #4: Enjoy What You Eat Even When You’re in a Weight Loss Diet Plan
Sofia Vergara and her son plan much of their personal time together around food. He is a good cook, but they love to go out to eat together as well. Plus, she often goes out for lunches with friends.
Eating is one of my favorite hobbies, especially dessert!”
“I have to control [what I eat] in my diet plan now especially when I’m getting ready for the Emmys. When I really want to be good and control myself, I have lollipops in my handbag — instead of having a tiramisu, I have a boring lollipop to stay true to my diet plan.”
Weight Loss Tips #5: What Role Model Sophia Loren Would Do
Sophia Loren is one of Sofia Vergara’s all time favorites, but she can’t recall any pictures of Sophia Loren on treadmill exercise equipments or doing any fitness exercise program (probably because society wasn’t as obsessed with that kind of thing back then). Sofia observes there are quite a few pictures of Sophial Loren eating. However because Sophia Loren did not eat red meat in her diet plan Sophia Vegara doesn’t either.
Since I was used to eating organic in my diet plan back in Colombia, when I moved to Miami, the meat didn’t taste good to me, anyway, so I stopped including it in my diet plan. I’ve been off it for 16 years. My problem is dessert. I don’t feel done eating until I have something sweet in my diet plan. On Mondays, my weight loss diet plan is good. Tuesdays, perfect. Wednesday night, um. By Thursday, it’s horrible.”
