Her fitness routine has kept her lean and toned for decades. Although her eating and exercise philosophy has change throughout the years, she has always looked great. Madonna follows a healthy lifestyle, and is very strict with what she eats, and working out. Want to know what her regiment is, and all of her tip and trick to lose weight and firm up fast? Madonna eats a Macrobiotic Diet and Practices Portion Control. One of her favorite snack is fresh strawberries, she will request 12 dozen when performing.
Madonna does Ashtanga Yoga. Exercises 6 days a week mixture of workouts including pilates, gyrotonics and cardio like the treadmill. She gives herself a off day. She has worked with trainer Rob Parr. Madonna uses a “power plate” to maximize her workout. It is thought that is you exercise while standing on this vibrating plate your body believes you are falling so all your muscles fire, which makes you burn more calories thus shortening your workout.
She also does “Nordic Walking” to burn more calories while walking. The theory behind this technique is that when we walk, we tend to relax our upper body and let the legs do most of the work. This conserves energy when we are on a long walk. But this is the last thing you would want to do if you are trying to burn more calories. When we move our arms when we walk we burn up to 50 percent more calories and train muscle groups in our upper body. The “Trekking poles” are a visual reminder to use your arms.
