In a new article for Life & Style, the newly engaged and super-svelte Ashley Hebert reveals how she achieved her amazing weight loss of 10lbs and got herself in fabulous shape in preparation for her stint wooing a harem of attractive guys on The Bachelorette. Ashley went on a weight loss diet plan so she can weigh -3lbs.
For those of you who don’t remember a time when Ashley was anything but teeny, she apparently was emotionally eating over the heartbreak of being dumped by former Bachelor, Brad Womack on national TV and gained 10lbs as a result: “I was eating everything in sight. When you’re stressed out, you kind of just throw it back,” said Ashley.
Ashley also points the finger at all the fattening, free dinners and copious amounts of booze associated with being a contestant on The Bachelor so she decided to go on a healthy weight loss program as the Bachelorette: “I don’t drink as much, and I don’t eat as many desserts as last time,” she says of her new healthy weight loss diet plan. “Now it’s fruits, vegetables, salads and chicken — staying healthy.”
Also part of her weight loss program is eating small meals in her weight loss diet plan throughout the day, rather than the traditional 3-meals-a-day model. “I eat when I’m hungry and don’t when I’m not,” she says. “It just happens that the foods I love most are nutrient dense.”

Dieting
Cottage Cheese with Fruit. While she’s wooing the hearts of 25 hot men on ABC’s The Bachelorette, America’s new sweetheart Ashley Hebert likes to try to keep things healthy in her diet plan. “Everyday, part of my weight loss diet plan is that I eat cottage cheese with fruit, like mango or mandarin oranges,” she says.
Fruit Smoothies. She’s also a self-proclaimed fruit smoothie addict! “I throw anything healthy into a blender and make a fruit smoothie, or a protein shake.”
Salad. Also part of her healthy weight loss diet plan are salads. She loves to put together large salads filled with nuts, fruits, eggs and lean meat.
Red Velvet Cupcakes. She admits that despite sticking to a healthy weight loss diet plan, she from time to time allows herself to cheat. One guilty pleasure Hebert can’t live without? “Red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting or anything chocolate!” she reveals.

“Part of my fitness training exercise program is dance. I teach dance classes — jazz and hip-hop — so I get a good mix of fitness exercise program types.”
When Ashley wasn’t dancing she was taking a “bodypump” fitness class which combined aerobics and weight lift resulting in a fitness training that burned six hundred calories an hour!
Ashley finds that teaching high-energy dance classes puts her in the best shape. “I also swear by Les Mills Body Pump weight lifting class,” the beautiful bachelorette raves about her fitness training exercise program. “It does wonders to your body!”
With such a busy schedule, did she find time to squeeze in a fitness training exercise while shooting The Bachelorette? “I ate a lot more than I usually do and did not do any fitness exercise. I probably went to the gym twice in two months!” Hebert admits. “This is very unlike me! At that point, there were other things more worthy of my energy…twenty-five studs!”
“It’s a new, enlightened me. I’m happy. I’m in such a great place right now!” said Ashley about her new weight loss.
Ashley Dishes How To Lose Fat Tips
Losing Weight Tip 1. Dance it off. Not one for traditional exercise programs, Hebert exercises by dancing! In fact, she’s taught jazz, ballet, and hip-hop classes before and says she feels most confident when she’s dancing.
Losing Weight Tip 2. Eat according to your hunger. One way that Hebert stays trim is by always listening to her hunger. She told SHAPE, “I eat when I’m hungry and don’t when I’m not,” she says. “It just happens that the foods I love most are nutrient dense.” It’s simple, but it works!
Losing Weight Tip 3. Mini-meal it up. Whether it’s filming a The Bachelorette episode or fueling up for a dance class, Hebert eats small, regular meals a day as part of her weight loss diet plan instead of the usual breakfast, lunch and dinner. Eating smaller meals more often gives her the energy she needs!
