Not long ago 27 year old actress Kara Tointon was cut from BBC soap EastEnders and suffering from a devastating split from her boyfriend, leaving her feeling near suicidal. The actress, who was used to being constantly busy suddenly found herself out of a job and out of a relationship and depression began to get the best of her. During her depression she had quite a bit of weight loss, whereas before she never really had to worry about being too skinny nor overweight.
But, now she’s closer to feeling normal again and made it a point to get in shape. In fact, it seems as if fitness exercise is becoming part of who she is.
I feel fitter than ever,” she says. “If I’m not active, I get really agitated. While I was in EastEnders I didn’t have the time to do any fitness exercise program, but I’ve always been quite lucky with my weight. I stay at 8 to 8½ stone. I feel more confident now I’m toned as well.”
This new found love of fitness exercise program is paying off as she participates in Strictly Come Dancing, although she may not be as new to this particular form of fitness exercise program as she lets on.
“I was a crazy stalker fan of Strictly and it got to the point where I was in the audience every week! I’d always said I was a viewer and would never be a participant, so I guess I should shut my mouth now! I’ve always loved dancing as a fitness exercise program, but until now, it’s been on my own,” she says. And talking of dancing, Kara Tointon visited the lap-dancing club Spearmint Rhino, where she says: “It was a real lesson in sexual confidence. Now I want to learn the moves and I’ve found a local dance studio which does pole-dancing classes. I’m even going to buy a pole! Not only do you get a great fitness training exercise out of it but you also gain confidence in your figure, and that’s incredibly sexy.”
Kara Tointon told the Mirror, “I did gymnastics and board diving training four or five times a week as part of my fitness exercise program when I was younger. But what it’s given me is a figure I’m very happy with. I don’t necessarily enjoy going to the gym as a fitness exercise program and I’m certainly not obsessive about it but if I’ve gone a couple of weeks without fitness exercise I get agitated.”
Healthy Diet Plan for Kara Tointon
“I keep a healthy diet plan, I do cardio exercise by swimming, dancing and I also engage in some other forms of fitness exercise program. Sometimes I hit a slump, but I’m good at snapping myself out of it. We all have bits of our bodies we dislike. But life’s too short to wallow in disappointment.”
What part of her body does she not like? “My bum. I’m really doing fitness exercises targeting it at the gym. I want to tone it up. I’ve just got a personal fitness trainer and everything.”
Kara Tointon also admitted that she recently joined up with former co-star Natalie Cassidy to get some regular fitness training exercise on the golf course. She said: “I’m going to start up golf again on Sundays. I always used to go with my dad. Natalie Cassidy and I are going to the driving range for lessons.”
Asked about her favorite form of fitness exercise, she said “I don’t like running as a fitness exercise program at all! I hate it. I tried to get into running as a fitness exercise because I’ve done a few runs. I’ve done the London marathon, which I ended up walking which isn’t good. I think I like dancing. I like doing sports really – you don’t realize you’re getting yourself a good fitness training exercise because it’s fun.”
When asked to dish out weight loss tips, she only had this to say: “Weight loss? Just definitely the old-fashioned drinking loads of water. When I don’t drink water my skin goes really bad so I normally drink a big bottle everyday if I can. It remains to be seen how long she will last on the show, but one thing is for certain–she intends to stay in shape, hoping to go back to work soon and for a “happy and healthy” 2011 as it creeps up on her rather quickly.
