Twenty three year old Julianne Hough is the two-time “Dancing with the Stars” champ, being the youngest professional dancer ever to have competed on it. But she’s then left the show to pursue her singing career after winning the fourth and fifth seasons and now she’s even set to star in her first major motion picture film, “Burlesque”, co-starring one of her own idols, Cher.
But despite her busy schedule, Julianne Hough was able to take a break from her hectic schedule to talk to thatsfit.com about her fitness training exercise program and diet plan that keeps her in such great shape.
The Diet Plan of Julianne Hough
You’d think that with her busy schedule, Julianne Hough would seek weight loss help to keep her figure by taking in diet supplements. But the young singer says she’s not one to give in to the pressures f being thin in Hollywood. She doesn’t like resorting to any crazy weight loss diet plans to have a rapid weight loss. In fact, she admits to having a love for food. “I belong to the “no diets“diet plan, she proudly admits.
Here’s a sample of her daily diet plan:
For breakfast, her diet plan consists of yogurt or a smoothie, or some fruit. Sometimes she eats 1 bagel and two fried eggs sunny side up.
Julianne usually eats bigger at lunch and almost everyday, she craves a maple-baked salmon salad with grapes, walnuts and that’s her lunch staple, plus apple slices too. Her lunch diet plan also consist of creamy artichoke and spinach dip with tortilla chips, avocado egg rolls, fried calamari and green salad topped with fresh avocado slices.
For snacks, she has a chocolate cheesecake!
For dinner, she may have some type of grilled fish and steamed veggies and brown rice. She also tries to stay away from sweets and carbs most of the time but she keeps in mind that a healthy weight loss program is to have everything in moderation. “My weight loss diet plan is really eating healthy. Eat what you want, when you want and stop when you’re full.”
It’s a surprise that despite her big appetite, she is able to lose weight. The two time DWTS champ sums up her healthy weight loss program this way: “The best weight loss plan for me is eating whatever I want and also having a good fitness training exercise program. In her case, it’s exercise by dancing regularly so she’s able to burn a lot more.

The singer also claims that she gets fitness training exercises done through her love for outdoorsy activities. “I was born in Utah and I love to be in the snow. I get my exercise done through my big hobby of snowboarding and being outside with my friends. In the summer, I do my fitness training through water sports such as wakeboarding.”
Julianne is a believer of fun exercises. She gets her cardio exercises done by playing waffle ball or running around with her Cavalier King Charles, Lexi. “Sometimes we run around the amphitheater that I perform in!” She also uses exercise equipment called the Ab roller. “It’s pretty tough and it gets your arms too!”
And since a lot of the fans she meets during her shows always ask her about her fitness exercise secrets, she came up with her dance-inspired fitness exercise DVD.
