Well, no surprises there. She changed her diet plan and underwent some serious fitness exercise program to get her pear body back in fabulous shape.
Jennifer Love Hewitt’s Weight Loss Diet Plan
Jennifer Love Hewitt started her weight loss program on a 1,500 to 1,800 calorie a day diet plan but now sticks to a daily 1,200 to 1, 500 calories. “You reassess every couple of weeks as the weight drops,” says her personal fitness trainer, Sant’ Angelo, who keeps her client munching on whole grains (but only until 2 PM or 3 PM to maintain energy and prevent late night snacking), protein, veggies and fruit.
Here’s a sample of Jennifer Love Hewitt’s Weight Loss Diet Plan
Breakfast: 2 servings of mixed fruit (like 2 oranges, 1 grapefruit or 6 oz of strawberries, blueberries or s raspberries) and 1 cup of low-fat Greek yogurt or ¾ cup of cottage cheese.
Snack: Apple with 1 to 2 tbsp of natural peanut butter.
Lunch: Turkey sandwich with lettuce, tomatoes, sprouts, 1/2 tsp mayo and 1/2 tsp mustard on Ezekiel sprouted bread.
Snack: 2 Laughing Cow 2 oz cheese cubes and 3 cups of mixed greens, carrots and broccoli.
Dinner: 8 oz roasted chicken breast or fish with 2 cups of veggies, such as steamed artichokes, wok-seared mushrooms and snow-pea pods.
And while the 30 year old actress has kept the extra weight off since those unflattering photos, she admits to still battle body-image issues. “For the most part, yeah, I’m happy with my body,” she says, “But there are days when I’m like, ‘Ugh! Really? Why is it so hard to fit into my jeans?'”
To make sure she eats to her healthy weight loss diet plan, Love Hewitt goes food-shopping every two days. “Instead of piling up food in my fridge that says ‘Come eat me!’ I keep enough for only a couple of days,” she says. “And I rarely have treats around that might tempt me late at night, which is when I usually crave something really fattening. What am I going to do? Drive out at 11 at night just to satisfy a craving? No, that’s crazy.”
Jennifer Love Hewitt’s Fitness Exercise Program
Jennifer Love Hewitt’s fitness exercise program lasts for about 1 hour and she does them three to four times a week. She starts off with warm up exercises doing cardio exercises i.e. jumping rope, running forward and sideways on the treadmill exercise equipment.
After that, Jennifer Love Hewitt follows through her fitness exercise program with toning exercises. For 45 minutes, Jennifer Love Hewitt does a kettlebell exercise equipment-focused workout that includes the following: one-arm military presses using 18-pound cast-iron bells, bicep curls with 15-pound bells paired with squats, single-leg touch-downs with a tricep kickback using 18-pound bells and jumps holding 15-pound bells (three sets of 15 reps each). She ends with three one-minute full-body planks.
And when she’s not working with her fitness trainer, she makes sure to still do fitness exercises on her own. Her solo hour-long fitness exercise workout begins with 40 minutes of cardio exercise, such as roller skating (her favorite), incline training on the treadmill exercise equipment or swimming. Next, she targets her upper body with three sets each of 15 pushup exercises, three-minute body planks and one-minute bicycle crunches.
In addition to keeping a healthy weight loss diet plan and a disciplined fitness exercise program, Jennifer Love Hewitt also exercises positive thinking. “In the morning, before I leave the house, I say five things I love about myself, like ‘You have really pretty eyes.’ That way I can go out into the world with that little bit of extra confidence,” she says. “It’s a feel-good protein shake in my back pocket in case someone messes with me that day.”
