“I’ve been trying to take care of myself,” he told Rachel Ray on her talk show recently. “I did meet with a nutritionist for weight loss help and he talked to me about the way I was eating. I shifted the way I was eating, the way I was living.”
Forest Whitaker credits his weight loss success to his vegetarian diet plan. Since going on a vegetarian diet plan three years ago, Forest Whitaker has experienced 80 pounds of weight loss. A close pal of Forest Whitaker had told the Enquirer that the actor had a lot of excess fat around his stomach and is considering becoming a vegan. For now, however, he’s just giving up meat in his diet plan. The actor himself revealed that he had adopted a vegetarian diet plan in 2007 when he shot an advertisement for animal rights group PETA together with his daughter, True. They recorded a public service announcement encouraging others to try a healthy and humane vegetarian diet plan.
In the ad, he said, “You may decide to go on a vegetarian diet plan for better health, for a better environment, or you can be like me and just decide you don’t want to eat meat anymore.” He cites his vegetarian diet plan as a good way to not only lose weight, but to ward off diseases like heart disease, diabetes and cancer. “The vegetarian diet plan for me has to be the best diet plan and the best healthy weight loss program I’ve ever tried.”
