How Cheryl Burke Achieved Her Five Pounds Weight Loss
Dancing with the Stars celebrity Cheryl Burke has a hot dancer body. However, two years ago she caught some scrutiny when she put on a few pounds. In a recent interview she said that as she is getting older she has to be careful because her metabolism is slowing down.
She revealed that her confidence was shattered back in July 2008 when a tabloid showed some photos of her with a fuller figure. She became obsessed with her weight after she read some comments of bloggers calling her “fat”.
“One night I was supposed to go out with my friends but I couldn’t do it. Every time someone looked at me I was like, ‘That person thinks I’m fat,’ ” she confessed.
But now, Cheryl Burke has come to prove that although one might look great, people’s criticism can still increase the feeling of insecurity. The ‘Dancing with the Stars’ celebrity recently confessed that it took her a while to lose weight and get such a toned body and that, even so, she’s not 100 percent confident.
This incident made her lose all confidence in herself so, in order to lose weight, she went on an unhealthy weight loss plan as she tried starving herself and taking weight loss diet supplements but with no result.
So then she changed her approach to weight loss. She tried to do the healthy weight loss plan approach. Her healthy weight loss diet plan included lots of vegetables but she also allowed herself to splurge, to have a cheat day from her weight loss diet plan once in a while.
“I love carbs and I love chips,” she said. “I’m not going to deprive myself – but instead of eating potato chips I’ll eat Triscuits or low-fat Cheez-Its.”
To lose weight, the 5 foot 4 frame Cheryl cut out red meats, cheese and white carbs from her weight loss diet plan to shed the unwanted five pounds. As a healthy weight loss diet plan approach, she now resolves to eating whole wheat bread and gluten-free pasta.
These days, Cheryl is in control of her weight loss diet plan and makes sure to do her fitness training exercise program regularly to keep her body in shape. She says that she feels more confident about herself that she ever did a few years ago.
Be it on the show’s set or off the set she tries to have a healthy weight loss diet plan, by eating ‘clean’ and healthy in order to keep up with the eight straight hours of choreography and all of the rehearsals.
The constant fitness training exercise while on the ‘Dancing with the Stars’ show, along with a healthy weight loss diet plan helped her to lose weight.
In addition, while she’s not on DWTS she substitutes this by doing Jazz fitness exercise program classes three times a week and will do cardio exercise by doing four-mile runs up to five days a week.
She said, “I don’t weigh myself on a scale. I feel the difference in my clothes and the way they fit,” she explained. “When I’m on the show, my body changes a lot. I try to maintain it.”
Now, “there are moments when I’m like, ‘Ugh — the camera adds 10 lbs,'” she notes. “But as long as I work up a sweat through my fitness training exercise program and I stick to a healthy weight loss diet plan by eating clean, I’m okay. I feel great about my body.”
Cheryl is in fact embracing her fitness training exercise program as she released a dance fitness exercise program called Cheryl Burke Presents Disco Abs. There are three fitness exercise DVDs in the set, and each features a warm-up exercise, cool down exercise and about a 40-minute dance session.
Cheryl’s fitness exercise program DVD is a non-stop, no frills, dancing fitness exercise that is pretty easy to follow and fun. There’s good instruction, but not too much instruction and even though Cheryl talks about burning calories way too much (it’s like her only motivational phrase), it’s so darn fun that you can ignore that. And you sweat while having a blast. Now that’s a great way to capitalize on her new found healthy weight loss program.
