The Diet Plan of a Modern Day Belle
Hudgens recently played the modern Belle on the modernized version of Beauty and the Beast entitled, Beastly. You’d think she’d be in a pretty strict weight loss diet plan to maintain that kind of body right? Wrong! Vanessa admits that although she does have a healthy weight loss diet plan, she lets herself indulge in sweets from time to time. She admits that she’s a chocolate junkie and she eats chocolate whenever she feels like it.
“I cannot live without it. During the filming of the movie High School Musical, I ate chocolate at any hours, even when I didn’t want, I had chocolate in the mouth!”
“I’m not crazy about diets”, Vanessa says. “But I do try to keep a healthy lifestyle overall.”
Vanessa Hudgens’ diet plan before involved the principles of the zone diet plan that aimed to maintain a hormonal balance within the body through consuming meals that are specifically prepared. The weight loss diet plan contains a balanced ratio of carbohydrates 40%, fat 30% and protein 30%.
The diet plan is designed as follows because it can help the body achieve optimal performance according to the maker of the zone diet plan. Vanessa Hudgens’ former diet plan also allows a maximum of 500 calories for meals and 100 calories for snacks.
Generally, her weight loss diet contains fresh vegetables, leafy green vegetables, fruits, nuts with enough protein intake, and ample hydration of the body. At the same time, it doesn’t allow the intake of processed foods and meals that contain too much salt.
But now Vanessa says she follows the Portion Control weight loss diet plan. “I eat small portions of food. It consists of eating 6 times a day, always small quantities. Frankly, when I tried to follow a weight loss diet plan that required me to eat less carbohydrates and more protein, I gained a few pounds instead.”
Her favorite dish is actually Cheetos snacks. “One day, I was sick in bed watching the series, Lost, I ate a whole bag without realizing it.”
Her Fitness Training Exercise Program
Though she looks absolutely amazing on the Sucker Punch posters (really, if looks could kill…), she admits that it wasn’t so easy getting into shape.
“My very first day, I showed up not knowing what to expect in the slightest, and I get thrown into a rigorous fitness training exercise program. My exercise program for Sucker Punch consisted of three hours of martial arts and an hour of the most intense fitness training of my life.”
What kept the 22-year-old actress motivated with her fitness training exercise program? A fitness trainer who pushed her limits…
“I was holding onto these rings and I let go on accident. [My fitness trainer] was like, ‘Okay, we have to do it again.’ And I let go again. I started to cry. It’s just the most frustrating feeling ever.”
…and co-stars who wouldn’t let her give up on her fitness training.
“[They said] ‘You’ve got it, V! Come on!’ Then I slipped again and [another] was right there telling me that I could do it… Just knowing that I had those girls there – these girls are all incredible…”
For her normal fitness exercise program, Vanessa says that she likes Spinning classes. “I like to be at the first line during Spinning classes. I feel the energy of the people behind me and that pushes me to give the better of me.”
Vanessa also says that she likes to do Pilates exercise and cardio exercise including cycling. She balances her fitness exercise program well by going to the gym and doing her fitness training exercise 4 or 5 times a week for an hour or so.
“Doing exercise regularly and sticking to a healthy weight loss diet plan is what keeps me in shape and tones my muscles.”
She doesn’t just get cardio exercises from hitting the gym but also during her trips and dance rehearsals too. “Dancing. I’ve been dancing since I was a kid. It’s my first love.” Vanessa says with a smile. “It’s a great exercise program, it’s good for the heart, and it’s fun.”
