Brooklyn Decker Talked About Her Unhealthy Weight Loss Program in the Past
Model Brooklyn Decker is at the top of the Best Summer Bodies of 2010 list September’s issue of Women’s Health magazine. And although supermodel Brooklyn Decker has an amazing body, that doesn’t stop her from feeling insecure about her looks. She recently confessed she’s always been self conscious about her body. The 23-year-old said that her insecurity issues began at an early age, when she felt her body was shapeless. At the beginning of her modelling career, she used to dream about having a curvier figure.
“People made fun of me and called me a boy,” she confessed. “I remember praying for boobs and a butt. Luckily, I grew into myself and got curves, but when I was first modelling, I wished for that boyish Gisele body again!”
Brooklyn Decker Confesses Her Unhealthy Weight Loss Diet Plan
Hanging around different models, Brooklyn went into a different phase. She wanted to be skinnier and started following all kind of detox weight loss diets that not only endangered her health, but resulted in weight gain, which was the opposite of her goal.
The 23-year-old confessed that keeping a fit body hasn’t always been an easy road for her to take. She admits that she made some bad and unhealthy weight loss diet choices in the past but she now keeps her body bikini-ready by following a healthy weight loss diet plan and having a regular fitness exercise program. Until recently, the size-four model has been following a detox diet plan because she felt she was too big for the modelling industry. Her unhealthy weight loss diet plan only included juice made from fruits and vegetables.
“I have a curvy body, I have boobs, I’m a size four [UK size eight]. In modelling, that’s often too big,” she reveals. “I did juice fasts and crazy weight loss diets and ended up gaining weight,” she said, describing her unhealthy weight loss program. “My father did an intervention and got me to stop obsessing about everyone else and wrecking my body.”
These days, Brooklyn has changed her attitude about food and is focusing more on what is healthy rather than what is forbidden. “Instead of worrying about what foods might have too much fat or sugar, think – Oh, I should eat these blueberries for the antioxidants.” Guided by her father, the fit model started making smarter choices in her weight loss program and decided to give up her unhealthy weight loss diet plan of juice. Not only is she no longer fasting, but she is also getting more modelling proposals.
“Oddly enough, after giving up my crazy weight loss diet plan, more people wanted to work with me,” says Decker.
Brooklyn is now in control of her weight loss program. Her healthy weight loss diet plan includes healthy snacks, like almonds, nuts, berries, hummus with carrots or any other vegetable. She believes snacks are very important because these keep her from getting hungry throughout the day.
“When you snack, it helps maintain your metabolism throughout the day. You don’t get hungry, and you fill your body with nutrients. There’s all sorts of things you can snack on that are yummy,” she says about her weight loss diet plan. “I carry around a Luna bar in my purse in case I get hungry and I don’t have time to grab something.”
In addition to this, Brooklyn also avoids salt and fried food in her weight loss diet plan.
Brooklyn Decker Fitness Exercise Program
The model does her fitness exercise program five days a week and she does cardio exercise, weight training exercise, as well as abs exercises to keep her body in shape. Her current diet plan includes foods that provide her with the energy she needs for a tougher fitness training exercise program, such as: veggies, antioxidant-packed blueberries, hummus, and granola bars.
“A lot of girls are like ‘I eat a cheeseburger, and I’m a size zero.’ Me? No way! I have to stick to my fitness exercise program, and it’s part of my life and I love it,” she says.
The supermodel also enjoys running exercises as well as doing yoga, and boxing, but she’s always open to trying out new exercise program activities to keep her body in top shape. She confesses that she does her fitness exercise program 4 to 5 times a week, for about an hour and a half each time. Sticking to a fitness exercise program regularly helps her maintain her figure, but also feel more confident about her body image.
“I’m a much happier person and a much better person to be around when I’m working out because it gets the endorphins going. You feel confident,” she explains.
On the other hand, she admits that she also has days when she’s too tired to go to the gym or do any form of fitness exercise program, but she tries to keep her schedule and fitness training exercise program at least four days a week. For women that are not fans of going to the gym but still want to exercise, she suggests doing cardio exercise like hiking or going for walks in the city. Even if it’s not the typical fitness exercise program, it still burns calories and keeps you in a good mood.
