Candace Cameron Talks About Her Struggles with Weight Loss
Weight Loss with Celebrity Candace Cameron
Remember the sweet, adorable, teenage face of D.J Tanner on the popular sitcom Full House? It’s hard to believe that the woman who played D.J, Candace Cameron Bure, is now a 34-year-old mother of three.
Since becoming a mom and aging, Candace had gained quite a lot of weight. But that is not the case anymore. The talented and beautiful actress Candace Cameron Bure has finally managed to lose weight, an amazing healthy weight loss of 22 pounds! This is undoubtedly a substantial weight loss feat for her considering the fact that Candace has always had abundant trouble with weight loss earlier. She had tried her hands at a number of weight loss diets and exercise programs. None of these weight loss diets and fitness exercise programs actually worked any wonders for her.
Weight Loss Struggles
As a way to celebrate her healthy weight loss success, she has written a how to lose weight book about it. In her weight loss book, “Reshaping It All“, she discusses her struggles with weight loss issues.
Contrary to what one would expect, Candace reveals that it was not the pressures of childhood stardom that perpetuated her unhealthy weight loss that led to eating disorder, but rather the pressures of becoming a new wife and living in a new city. Food became her source of comfort.
“Hoping to undo my discomfort and guilt, I would purge,” she explains, recalling her unhealthy diet.
Candace wrote her book on a healthy weight loss to encourage others not to do what she did in order to lose weight. Women are always asking her what she thinks about fitness, especially after having three kids so she opened up on a very personal level about her views on health and fitness.
She is hoping that her honest approach will allow others to relate to the book because it is not the story of a Hollywood star conquering an unhealthy weight loss plan and eating disorder. It is the story of a regular woman confronting every day changes in her life in a non healthy manner that has since learned how to change her habits for a healthier lifestyle.
For her, the purpose of her healthy weight loss book is not to announce to the world she had an eating disorder or that she had fallen victim to unhealthy weight loss diets. The inclusion of that information is solely for the purpose of helping her readers relate to her, to help them understand that there is often a deeper, more emotional connection people have with food than just nourishment for the body.
On her weight loss book, Candace also opens up about what made her realize she needed to change her weight loss diet plan for the better. She had always considered herself a Christian, but one day she discovered she wasn’t really living her life for God.
“I realized I was using food to fill a void in my life and as a comforter, and it was God that I needed to turn to instead of food,” she explains, talking about how she managed to turn her life around to achieve a healthy weight loss program.
After reaching that conclusion her weight loss diet plan has changed as well. She doesn’t deny herself the things that she wants, except fried foods, but now her diet plan involves eating in moderation more than she used to.

“I eat a very clean diet. I love vegetables and protein. That’s mainly what my healthy weight loss diet plan consists of, but I don’t deny myself anything. If I eat very rich foods I just eat them in moderation. The things I don’t eat are fast food and fried food only because I just know how badly they make me feel afterward,” says Candace.
The format of the healthy weight loss diet plan that Bure follows, goes something like this: she kicks off her morning weight loss diet plan with a bowl of gluten free cereal or an omelette of fresh tomato and onion. Her lunch diet plan is a meager affair of a salad with chicken tossed in olive oil or balsamic vinaigrette dressing on the side. A few almonds substitute as part of her snack diet plan, as do two slices of turkey wrapped over pieces of bell paper. For her dinner weight loss diet plan, Bure sticks to either salmon and cooked vegetables and green salad or sushi cooked using different methods.
She does not have a fitness trainer to help her with her fitness exercise program but she does her fitness training exercises by herself.
