British singer Leona Lewis has never been – and will never be either – what one may call a stick-thin girl. Considered by many the poster child for a normal, curvy figure, the hitmaker is also not a stranger to weight loss oscillations. The most spectacular is the latest, with Leona Lewis going from a size 14 to a stunning size 10 thanks to a detox diet plan she underwent at the end of last summer, as she reveals in a recent interview cited by the Daily Mail.
Of course the media can’t help but take notice of her looking incredibly slimmer. And now, Leona Lewis has revealed the weight loss diet plan secret to her new trim shape.
The Detox Weight Loss Diet Plan of Leona Lewis
Leona Lewis’ diet plan usually involves her eating very healthily. She only very rarely indulges in things she knows are not good for her body and health. However, at the end of last summer, she realized she’d been spending way too much time in the studio and sometimes neglected her healthy diet plan. Because of this, she decided to go on a month-long detox diet plan, which, incidentally, also returned extraordinary results in terms of weight loss, though this is not necessarily what Leona Lewis was going for.
“I went on a detox diet plan at the end of summer last year. Basically, this diet plan required me to eat vegetables and nothing processed. I didn’t drink anything but water for a month! I usually drink lots of water anyway, so it wasn’t a crazy, dramatic change to my lifestyle, but I just really wanted to try it and see how I felt. And after being in the studio a while, I started doing shows and getting more active. I only did the detox diet plan for a little while, but it must have kick-started something in me because everyone keeps saying: ‘Wow, you’ve lost weight!’ and I’m like: ‘Cool!’” Leona Lewis says about her weight loss diet plan in the interview cited by the Mail.
While on the topic of her weight loss, the hit singer also said that she’s not like the other female stars who give in to the pressure of the industry to lose weight. She said she personally never felt any pressure from the industry to lose weight. Because of this, she never felt the need to undergo a rapid weight loss program wherein she ends up starving herself, which, in turn, has allowed her to continue focusing on her health by keeping in shape with a combination of a good diet plan and regular fitness exercise program.
“No one’s ever said, ‘You need to do more fitness exercise.’ I put pressure on myself to stay healthy and I do want to look good, but I like to eat and I don’t like to starve myself so I don’t believe in fast diets! I love chocolate, it was so hard for me! But I thought, ‘The diet plan is only a few weeks. You can have it, but it’ll make you fat! So do you want that or to be healthy and feel great?’” Leona Lewis further explains.
The former X Factor winner has had an amazing weight loss. Her detox diet plan made her lose weight – four dress sizes to a 10 to be exact!
Leona Lewis’ Fitness Exercise Program
In terms of her fitness exercise program, the Bleeding Love singer admits that she finds that doing fitness training exercises at the gym is boring. She adds: “There’s a lot of skinniness out there, but it’s really doing outdoor fitness activities that I love. It’s always sunny and I love going on horse trails and hiking in the canyons. That’s my form of cardio exercise!”
