Amy Lou Adams was born August 20, 1974. She is an American actress and singer who began her performing career on stage in dinner theaters before making her screen debut in the 1999 black comedy film Drop Dead Gorgeous. After a series of television guest appearances and roles in B movies, she landed the role of Brenda Strong in 2002’s Catch Me If You Can, but her breakthrough role was in the 2005 independent film Junebug, playing Ashley Johnsten, for which she received critical acclaim and an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress.

Amy Adams is looking great after giving birth about a year ago. While that may not be much of a surprise, given most celebrities seem to achieve a rapid weight loss after giving birth, leaving the rest of us wondering just how in the world they achieve their weight loss so quickly.
So, if it isn’t so surprising that she was able to lose weight quickly, it might be surprising how she lost it. She pole danced her way to fitness.
Amy Adams hasn’t been a mother for long and that is exactly why she is focusing on enjoying every moment of motherhood while her little girl is still a baby. She’s in no rush to go on an intense healthy weight loss program to shed the pounds she gained while pregnant.
Although, 36-year-old Amy, enjoys staying healthy and fit, she isn’t trying to do achieve a quick weight loss because of Hollywood pressures on new moms to have a post baby weight loss program as soon as possible.
“I wasn’t put on this earth to look good in a swimsuit,” she says.
Amy does not feel that her looks really have much bearing on her career as an actress and that pregnancy has actually helped her fully realize all the things she can bring to the plate as an actress.
“I was like, ‘Look, I can carry a baby! I’m gaining weight right, everything’s going well.’ And I’ve had that relationship ever since,” she explains, shunning Hollywood’s standard for Hollywood mommies to lose weight as quickly as possible.
But, being okay with her body and with gaining weight hasn’t stopped Amy from wanting to get back in shape and, to do that, she is taking pole dancing lessons.

“Some of my friends said it’s a good way post baby weight loss program,” she says about doing pole dancing as a fitness training exercise program. “And I’ll do anything to get off of that treadmill exercise equipment.”
She’s taking her pole dancing fitness training exercise program with Sheila Kelley, founder of the S Factor. If you’re not familiar with the S Factor, it’s essentially a pole dancing fitness training exercise program that has quite a few celebrity fans —Martha Stewart has even tried this fitness training exercise program! Fans of the fitness training exercise program say it’s a great way to tone muscles, firm the body, increase flexibility, promote healthy weight loss, and elevate energy levels. Amy also thinks her fitness exercise program was good for unlocking “your inner erotic creature.”
Even though she doesn’t like doing her fitness training exercise program on the treadmill exercise equipment, anyone can see that her fitness training exercise program is working. But, even if pole dancing is working for her as a fitness training exercise program, she maintains that she really isn’t that concerned about weight loss and returning to her pre-pregnancy body.
“Women can be really hard on one another about weight loss,” she says. “I’m pretty comfortable with my body and I was comfortable with the weight gain, but that’s not what you want to hear.”
Perhaps the reason for her healthy attitude towards her weight loss is that she was not exposed to the same standards that Hollywood portrays today. Growing up in the 80′s, her role model for sexy was actress Tawny Kitaen.
“It’s part of my job to return to have a weight loss program especially after giving birth, to get back to some semblance of what I was before. But I don’t feel I’ve ever made my career on my rockin’ bod,” she says about having a healthy weight loss program.
Even though she was tempted to really do her fitness training exercise program hard for her role as Micky Ward’s girlfriend in The Fighter when she found out she would have to wear short shorts and a crop top, the director told her not to do her fitness exercise program too hard. He wanted her to look like a girl that drinks beer, reminding her that a “rockin’ bod” isn’t everything when it comes to acting.
