Working off Steam
She has said “I do yoga. I run. I do the elliptical trainer. I hike. I snowboard in the wintertime. I mix it up so I don’t get bored. I’ve been getting up at like three in the morning to work out these last few weeks. It’s so important to get some time alone and work some steam off. For me, it’s time to be alone and think, watch some music videos, organize the day in my head. I try to do that every day.”

Do you do your own stunts in the movie?
“Absolutely! Sometimes they wouldn’t let me. I’m like, I want to do it, and they say, Lady, sit down! All through Death Sentence, I was like, Please, let me shoot somebody.”
What do you do to keep fit?
“I have a home gym. I snowboard, and I scuba dive. I hike, and we bike in the mountains. The last time I went to Sundance, I went snowboarding and broke my arm. Before, I was hardcore and rode like a boy, but now I don’t want to break my arm, and everyone says I ride like a girl now.”
Do you work out for enjoyment or to stay in shape?
“I exercise to stay in shape for work and because I like to eat. I’m not one of these crazy actresses who lives on salad. I like to have dinner with friends, and I love chocolate; I work out so that I can be a normal person and eat what I want and not be starving myself.”
Do you feel pressure to be thin?
“There is pressure to be super-skinny, especially in Hollywood. I am 6 feet tall and a size 6, but the samples right now are zeros. I borrow designer clothes for the red carpet and the leg of the pants is the same size as my arm. If I lost four ribs and, like, a tibia, maybe I would fit into them.”
