Kate Hudson looks hot! She is 5′ 6 and weights about 120 pounds! She is one of the most beautiful women in the industry. She has been on the cover of the 2009 issue of World’s Most Beautiful People. She looks like she has never been on a weight loss program. She is known for being in style, thin, sweet and sexy.  How is a person that is so fit, able to maintain that great look? Even worst, she had to lose 20 pounds for her role in the film “Earthbound”.  In the movie Kate plays a terminally ill women and apparently her already rail thin body wasn’t good enough. What kind of diet and weight loss program did she adopt?  Read on for all of Kate Hudson’s weight loss diets!

Kate Hudson Weight Loss Program

Kate Hudson has had to lose weight quite few times in her life, from the weight she gained while pregnant, she gained 60 pounds, to the weight she had to recently lose for her role in the film “Earthbound”. The way she has been able achieve these results is by different weight loss diets reducing her caloric intake and exercising. Her trainers developed the perfect weight loss program for her!

The first thing Kate Hudson did was to decrease her daily caloric intake and adjusted it to her weight and height. Her weight loss diets consisted of lean proteins that included chicken, fish, turkey, and tofu, and she ate low carbohydrate foods such as vegetables, fresh fruits, and legumes. She also ate foods rich in essential fatty acids such as olive oil, fish oil, seeds and nuts, which are very helpful if you want your body to function properly. She limited her caloric intake to about 1500 calories per day. She did this by cutting down her consumption of bread and pasta.

Apart from her weight loss diets,  Kate has decided to be even healthier in the last few months. She quit smoking. Great job Kate!  Kate Hudson told Bang Showbiz: “It was starting to drive me crazy! I didn’t like the way the car smelt, or my hair and clothes. It takes you away from the family and the things you’re doing.”

“You don’t realize it at the time. Then when you’re done, you go, ‘Wow, I do so much more in a day – including eat.’ Quitting meant eating more. Then there were rumors in the press saying that I was pregnant. Later somebody said, ‘When did you quit smoking?’ And I was like, ‘Right about the time everybody thought I was pregnant!’” Kate Hudson added.

This weight loss program clearly worked and it is responsible for getting her to her normal weight of about 120 pounds. So if you are already slim and healthy like Kate how do you lose an additional 20 pounds for a role?  Give up alcohol, apparently. “I love my glass of wine. I love tequila,” says the star. “To be in New York for two weeks and not have one beverage! I’m not sure I’ve ever done that.” Given how many calories and sugar alcohol contains it makes sense that the sacrifice worked for her.

Kate Hudson Fitness Exercise

To lose weight after her pregnancy, Kate Hudson exercised for 3 hours a day. Her fitness exercise included one hour of cardio, one hour of Pilates exercise or yoga and one hour running on exercise equipment. She made it a point that fitness exercise is a part of her lifestyle. Doing the same fitness exercise routines can get boring so she is also into dancing.  She will many times exercise outdoors which is a great way to break the same fitness exercise boredom!

To get ready for her other recent film NINE, Kate Hudson got into perfect shape by training with Sheila Kelley who created the S Factor, a sexy striptease which strengthen and tones the body. Jennifer Love Hewitt also trained with Sheila to get back into shape while feeling sexy and empowered.  Kate Hudson also revealed her new form of exercise – Salsa. Kate added that Salsa helped her maintained her figure and Salsa also improved her appetite. Kate explained: “I’ve kind of gotten into salsa. It’s hard, though. If you do a full salsa session for an hour, you’ve got to lose an inch. You’re pouring sweat. Salsa is really fun.”
