Do they have the same insecurities the rest of us have? Do they want to be taller, thinner, tanner, have better legs and a myriad other imperfections the rest of us battle every day within our minds? You bet they do! Elizabeth Banks is gorgeous, she is thin, blond blue eyed superstar with with body to match. Does she feel the same insecurities? Read on, you will be surprised.

“I’ve never wanted bigger boobs,” she says. “At times, I may have wanted to be taller, or tanner, or have better legs, but I don’t get the gigantic boobs thing.” Elizabeth Banks, as it happens, is exactly the kind of insanely pretty girl–winner of the lithe/blond/blue-eyed trifecta–you want to hang out with, because she doesn’t take her good looks seriously at all. Physically, the way she is hasn’t changed that much in the past 10 years. Her weight has remained the same, give or take an occasional four-pound fluctuation up or down. How does she maintain such a great body?  “I do try to eat healthy, and I find that’s easiest when I just avoid the Doritos aisle at the grocery store,” she says. Elizabeth Banks Exercise Routine

Elizabeth is pretty active–hiking the hills near her house in L.A., playing tennis with her husband, and hitting the treadmill and the free weights. “I really believe you have to make time for it, but I also know how hard it can be to find time to get to the gym and keep up with it,” she says. “The idea of getting in the car and driving to the gym and finding parking–it’s just not happening, because the whole thing could be a two-hour endeavor. I try to make it as easy for myself as possible.” During a recent renovation on their house, she and Handelman put in a home gym–so she can roll out of bed, get on the treadmill for 20 minutes (while she keeps abreast of the neighborhood goings-on from the view out a large window), do her weight exercises for 20, and be showered before an hour is up.

But one thing that is certainly behind Banks is any kind of group fitness class. The actress has her lack of coordination to thank for that. “I can’t stick with it long enough to really learn the moves,” she explains. “I’ll be in the back, with mirrors all around, and when everyone else’s hands are down, mine are up. Theirs go up, and mine go down. I just start ­laughing at myself and end up in a giggle fit, on the ground, laughing for the whole second part of the class.” Nevertheless she is not afraid to try different exercises. Her Pilates experience was short lived though; “A Pilates machine looks like a torture machine, and it’s really hard. I’ve done it twice, and my stomach hurt for four days afterward.” Recently Russell Crowe has presented the co-star Elizabeth Banks with a high tech gift. She shared his passion for cycling with Elizabeth Banks with a 21 gear high tech bike. The actor wants Elizabeth Banks to join him during the cycling around the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania location. However, she insists she was the wrong choice of cycling partner. The duo is playing husband and wife in their new film ‘The Next Three Days.’ The movie is about a woman wrongly accused of murder. Elizabeth Banks admitted that the gift is a beautiful mountain bike. However she confessed that she might not be the apt partner for any cycling enthusiast. She is not an athlete so far. She said that she might have to watch YouTube videos to learn how to change the 21 gears.

Diet Cravings

Despite her hectic lifestyle, Lauren Conrad’s been eating healthier than ever before according to Star Magazine and she is full of diet ideas. She’s gone from calorie counting to a more flexible diet program: she gets plenty of fruit, like watermelon and grapefruit; organic salad greens; and lean protein, like turkey, tuna, and beans. “I’ve found when all I’m eating is really fresh, healthy foods, I stop craving pizza and burgers,” she says. It’s been said that Lauren’s even switched to super nutritious nibbles (what she calls “snack plates”), her diet food list including hummus, sliced turkey, cucumbers, and apples. “When I have these foods in front of me, I find it easier to avoid high-calorie binges,” she says. She also mentioned that when she’s in need of a diet to go she will grab a protein drink or cottage cheese with fruit as diet snacks.

Lauren Conrad likes to go with a few diet tips – having six small meals a day from which she cut most carbs, normally having egg whites, turkey, bacon, toast and fruit. When she is having dinner at home she likes to eat sushi most nights although sometimes she alternates it with Mexican food.

Lauren Conrad tries to stick to a daily 1,500-calorie diet, although she admitted to theinsider.com that sometimes she will slip up because of her hectic schedule. For celebritybeautybuzz.com she said: “I have a hard time eating healthy when we travel a lot. My friends all make fun of me because when we all get back to my apartment at night, everyone wants to order pizza and I make them eat bowls of beans following my own healthy weight loss recipes. On ‘cheat day’ I usually eat carbs.”


Exercise It When You Can

When it comes to exercise, Lauren Conrad does 1 hour sessions of weight training and treadmill exercise twice a week. She incorporates 45 minute hiking sessions in L.A.’s Runyon Canyon when she’s not working out so it makes for a simple weight loss. “I like doing outdoor stuff: tennis, bike riding, kayaking, stand-up surfing, hiking in the canyons around L.A. which gives me good weight loss.”

“When I was younger, I was really active and always playing sports. I love waking up early and going on an hour-long hike. It’s the perfect start to my day. When I work out regularly and eat healthy, I feel better. I just started doing kick-boxing which is really fun, and the way my trainer does it, it’s like a full-body workout. Like squat, lunge, squat, lunge, or lower punches. lifting and treadmill exercise sessions. I do a half hour of kick-boxing and then I just do weight training. I also do running most days and Chloe [Lauren’s dog] loves it.”

About her slim down Lauren Conrad says: “The first place I lost weight was my little belly. Now I’m happy about my arms because they were a little mushy!”
